Notification preferences

Notification Preferences (/user-profile-settings/notifications) control which events notify you personally. This is separate from Notification templates, which define message copy for the workspace. The page organizes events into modules such as Contacts, Tasks, and Deals—each module expands to show granular events (for example Contact Assigned to Me, Task Due Soon, Deal Won). Channel toggles include In-App, Email, WhatsApp, SMS, and Call where your plan and integrations support them. Quiet hours and timezone settings let night-shift teams suppress non-critical alerts. Every signed-in user should tune preferences during onboarding. Admins configure workspace-wide copy under Templates; this page only controls delivery to your account.

Who can do this

Every signed-in user manages their own preferences.

Before you begin

  • You can open SettingsNotificationsNotification Preferences
  • You know which channels you want for assignments and billing alerts
  • Email integration connected if you enable Email channel

What you'll accomplish

  • Notification stream matches your role—fewer distractions, critical alerts on
  • Module toggles under Contacts, Tasks, and Deals reflect your workflow
  • Quiet hours respected when enabled

Step-by-step procedure

  1. Open SettingsNotificationsNotification Preferences.
  2. Review global channel switches: In-App, Email, WhatsApp, SMS, Call.
  3. Expand Contacts and toggle events such as Contact Assigned to Me and New Contact Added.
  4. Expand Tasks—enable Task Assigned to Me, Task Due Soon, and Task Overdue for reps.
  5. Expand Deals if you own pipeline—Deal Stage Changed and Deal Won are common keeps.
  6. Set per-event channels (in-app only vs email plus in-app).
  7. Configure quiet hours if the section is visible: start, end, weekend behavior, timezone.
  8. Save preferences.
  9. Trigger a test: assign yourself a task and confirm delivery in chosen channels only.
  10. Revisit after role changes—managers often need more Deals events than SDRs.

Tips

tip

Admins should still configure templates even if personal prefs are minimized.

Troubleshooting

| No emails | Check spam; verify email integration; confirm event enabled | | Too many alerts | Disable non-essential modules or enable quiet hours | | WhatsApp channel missing | Connect WhatsApp integration first |
