Dashboards overview

SWS Agent exposes more than one dashboard surface. The default Dashboard (/dashboard or /analytics-dashboard) is the role-aware KPI home—contacts, tasks, revenue indicators, and module shortcuts depending on enabled widgets. Launchpad (/launchpad) guides new workspaces through setup checkpoints.

Who can do this

All signed-in users see some dashboard widgets; widget catalog entries may hide based on role and enabled modules.

Before you begin

  • Workspace has baseline data (contacts, tasks, or deals)
  • You completed Navigate the app so sidebar modules are familiar
  • Optional: assigned Workspace dashboards from an Admin

What you'll accomplish

  • KPIs reviewed for the current week
  • Drill-down paths to Contacts, Tasks, Reports, and Book of Business identified
  • Understanding of default analytics home vs custom grid dashboards

Step-by-step procedure

Default analytics home

  1. Sidebar → Dashboard (routes include /dashboard and /analytics-dashboard depending on workspace assignment).
  2. Scan each widget card—typical widgets include contact counts, task backlog, campaign activity, and performance snippets.
  3. Select a widget title or View all link to jump into the source module.
  4. New workspaces: open Launchpad for a checklist linking to Settings, first contact, and integrations.
  5. If your Admin assigned a Workspace dashboards grid as home, you may land on /workspace-grid-dashboards/:id instead—use the sidebar to return to classic modules.

Widget behavior

Widget patternWhat to expect
Count tilesSingle number with trend arrow—click through for list view
ChartsTime-series or funnel—hover for values, click legend items when linked
Action listsShortcuts to overdue tasks or unread Inbox items
Performance snippetsMay deep-link to /performance?tab=dashboard (Book of Business)
Smart List summariesMay link to /contact-segments or starred segment tabs

Refresh the page after major imports—widget counts can lag briefly while read models sync.

Role and module gating

  1. Members may see fewer widgets than Admins.
  2. Disabled modules (Projects, Haves & Wants, Social) hide related widgets entirely.
  3. If a widget errors, confirm the backing module is enabled under Workspace modules.
  4. Haves & Wants widgets appear only when Post a Have / Post a Want routes are licensed for the tenant.

Relationship to other dashboards

  • Book of Business (/performance) — producer-focused book metrics with tabs Book of Business, My Goals, Deals, Teams, Settings (see Book of Business).
  • Workspace dashboards (/workspace-grid-dashboards) — Admin-built grid layouts (see Customize dashboards).
  • Reports Center — formal scheduled reports (Reports overview).

Use the default dashboard for daily orientation; use Book of Business for quota coaching; use Reports for finance-grade exports.

Verify your work

  • Widgets load without permission errors for your role
  • Click-through links open the correct module route
  • Counts move after you create a test contact or complete a task
  • Launchpad checklist reflects completed setup steps on new tenants
