Reminders

Reminders (/reminders) ensure follow-ups happen on time—complementing tasks, calendar events, and Inbox threads. Each reminder has a due date, optional contact link, and type (contact, task, inbox, calendar).

Who can do this

CRM users with reminder access. Creating reminders on contact detail may require contact edit permission.

Before you begin

  • A contact, deal, or follow-up topic needing a future nudge
  • Notification preferences configured so due reminders surface in-app or by email

What you'll accomplish

  • Reminder created with correct due date and note
  • Due items appear under Upcoming until the date passes
  • Overdue items move to Overdue until marked complete

Step-by-step procedure

Open Reminders

  1. Sidebar → CRMReminders (/reminders).
  2. The page header includes tab navigation with two primary views: Upcoming and Overdue.
  3. A type filter may appear for All types, Contact, Task, Inbox, or Calendar reminders—use it to focus on follow-ups tied to CRM records vs system-generated items.

Upcoming tab

  1. Select Upcoming to see reminders due today and in the future.
  2. Sort mentally by due date—nearest dates need action first.
  3. Filter by type when the toolbar offers All types, Contact, Task, Inbox, or Calendar filters.
  4. Select a row to open the linked contact or context.
  5. Pair Upcoming reviews with your morning Dashboard or Book of Business routine so nothing slips before outbound prospecting.

Overdue tab

  1. Select Overdue for reminders whose due date passed without completion.
  2. Work this list at the start of each day—overdue counts are a leading indicator of pipeline slippage.
  3. Either complete the follow-up action or reschedule by editing the reminder.
  4. Managers coaching reps should ask for Overdue to reach zero before new lead generation targets rise.

Create a reminder

  1. Select Add reminder (or create from contact detail when available).
  2. Set date/time, enter a short note, and link to a contact when the UI offers a picker.
  3. Save—the reminder appears under Upcoming if the date is in the future.
  4. From contact detail, reminders often inherit the contact link automatically—verify the association before save.

Complete a reminder

  1. When you finish the follow-up call, email, or task, mark the reminder Complete.
  2. The item leaves Upcoming or Overdue immediately.
  3. Confirm related activity appears on the contact timeline if you logged a call or message.
  4. If you only snoozed the work, edit the due date instead of completing—premature completion hides real backlog.

Notifications

  1. When a reminder becomes due, check the bell icon under Notifications.
  2. Adjust channels in Notification preferences if reminders are silent.
  3. Confirm workspace timezone under Organization profile so Upcoming items flip to Overdue at the correct local midnight.

Verify your work

  • New reminder visible on Upcoming with correct date
  • Past-due reminder appears on Overdue after midnight in workspace timezone
  • Completing clears the row from both tabs
  • Linked contact opens from the reminder row

Tips
