Deals overview
Deals (/deals) track revenue opportunities through your sales pipeline. Each deal links to a primary contact, has a stage and value, and rolls up to Book of Business and Reports.

Custom fields and tags

- Tags — placeholder Add a tag..., button Add
- Select Create Deal (edit mode: Update Deal).
Verify: Card appears in correct column; contact detail Deals tab lists the deal.
Move deals across stages
- Drag deal card to new column, or open deal and change Stage.
- Update Probability if your process ties it to stage.
- When closed, move to won/lost stage (per your Manage Stages config).
Manage Stages
- Select Manage Stages.
- Per stage fields:
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Name | Column header on board |

Stage names are workspace-specific—not fixed enums. Document your pipeline in onboarding materials.
Deals vs Funnels
| Deals | Funnels | |
|---|---|---|
| Focus | Revenue, close date, value | Marketing/lifecycle stages |
| Path | /deals | /contact-funnels |
| Best for | Forecasting, quota | Nurture, content journeys |
Use both when marketing enrolls contacts in a Funnel and sales tracks revenue in Deals.
Verify your work
- Board shows deals under correct Stage
- Create New Deal required fields validated (* markers)
- Book of Business reflects new pipeline value
- Contact record Deals tab links back to board
Tips
Require Expected close date on every deal—empty dates break forecast reports.
Use Tags for campaign attribution (webinar-q1) without extra custom fields.
Summarize deal before manager 1:1s—Copilot pulls activity from linked contact.

| Cannot drag stage | Permission; refresh board |
| Missing stages | Manage Stages — ensure active stages exist |
