Email campaigns overview

Email Campaigns (/email-campaigns) is the workspace hub for bulk and targeted email. Use it to review performance at a glance, filter by lifecycle status, open the five-step builder, reuse Templates, and drill into per-campaign analytics. Campaigns send to All Contacts or a Smart List; delivery depends on a verified Email domain, connected Email integration, and sufficient Credits.

Each row shows campaign name, status, send metrics, and actions such as Edit (draft/scheduled) and View Analytics (/email-campaigns/:campaignId/analytics).

Typical workflow

  1. Draft in the five-step builder (DetailsAudienceTemplateScheduleReview).
  2. Save as Draft between steps if needed.
  3. Send Campaign or Schedule Campaign from Review.
  4. After delivery, open analytics for Sent, Delivered, Opened, Clicked, Bounced.
  5. Cross-check Reports — Messaging for workspace rollups.

Extended guidance

Treat Email Campaigns as a lifecycle system—not a single send button. Draft campaigns often sit in Draft while legal reviews subject lines; use Preparing and Scheduled filters so ops knows what will fire overnight. When Paused appears, open the campaign editor before retrying—duplicate sends hurt domain reputation. Marketing managers should align Date filters with finance reporting weeks (Monday–Sunday vs calendar month) so email metrics match Reports — Messaging. Editors without send rights can still Save as Draft and hand off to an Admin for final Send Campaign. Document internally which Smart Lists are production-ready versus sandbox lists to prevent accidental bulk mail.

Verify your work

  • Email Campaigns list loads without error
  • Status chips match campaign state after refresh
  • Create Campaign opens Create New Campaign wizard
  • Analytics page renders metrics after a test send
