Create an AI Employee
An AI Employee is a configurable agent that answers questions, uses tools (CRM, email, WhatsApp, voice), and draws answers from Knowledge Hub. Create agents at /ai-employees and manage them from the dashboard and Command Centre.

- Ask questions covered in Knowledge Hub—answers should cite your business context, not generic placeholders.
- Test each enabled tool (e.g. "create a task for follow-up") in a sandbox contact.
Verify: Responses reference your ICP/products; refusals follow Guardrails.
Assign to channels
After launch:
- Smart Flows — AI / conversational actions
- Calling campaigns — voice agent
- WhatsApp conversational nodes in Advanced Builder
Verify your work
- Agent appears on
/ai-employees/listwith Active status - Chat test returns Knowledge Hub content
- Command Centre shows healthy agent (no credential errors)
- Optional call test connects via assigned number
Tips
Write Description and Guardrails as if onboarding a human hire—specific beats vague.
Enable only tools the agent needs—each tool requires credentials and adds failure points.
Without Knowledge Hub, agents hallucinate—complete Knowledge Hub first.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Generic answers | Enrich Knowledge Hub; upload employee-specific docs |
| Tool call fails | Credentials tab; reconnect integration |
| Voice drops | Credits; Jarvis/LiveKit settings; number assignment |
| Launch runtime stuck | Check subscription; review Command Centre alerts |
| Agent missing in Chat | Status must be Active; refresh list |
